Have you also thought about some of the research on memory that talks about how fragile memory is - and how fluid? That we often remember very clearly things that never happened? That we can construct memories consciously? Which leads me to wonder: if much of our identity is based on memory and memory is unstable and unreliable as a source of "truth" what are the implications for identity?
